After 5 successful years in Ocean City, NJ we have made the difficult decision to shutdown SurfNet. There are several reasons for our decision but the main reason is that our network provider Leap Wireless was acquired by AT&T earlier this year and they have plans to merge the network with AT&T's in March 2015 which uses a different network protocol than our equipment uses. This network change basically renders our equipment useless.

We had an idea that grew into a great business because there was a need for Internet connections for thousands who vacation at the Jersey Shore. We are proud to have partnered with so many great professionals in the real estate business in OCNJ and served their renters (our customers) with reliable Internet and great customer service. We want to thank all of you for believing in us and supporting us these past 5 years. I particularly want to thank Joe Carideo, Steve Booth, and Mary Louise Bowdler for giving us a shot with PruFox when we were first starting out.

Technology has changed a lot in the last 5 years but one thing has not, people need to stay connected in this world even when on vacation. Property owners need to step up and install wired internet access into their rental properties. I was amazed that million dollar beachfront owners were not willing to spring for Internet service for their rental properties even in 2014. Let's get Ocean City connected so we can stay as America's Greatest Family Resort!

Thank you,

Joe & Andrea Mangiaracina
